After a 3 hour scuffing & degreasing session, it was time to prime the top skins, stiffeners and doublers.

I decided to support the skins vertically to allow easier spraying.

All done, so when the paint has hardened the next job is to rivet them to the wing structure. I’m going to wait until Tim is available to help.

In the meantime I’m going to think of a way to clamp the spars to the workbench, ensuring they are as flat and true as possible in all planes. Before the skins are attached the spar assembly is very flexible, and I want to ensure that as the skins are riveted into position the wing is absolutely true.
