I decided to trial fit the tanks to the wings … I was anxious to make sure we had not overdone the Proseal thickness on the baffle installation.

Well I need not have worried, they both fitted like a glove : )

Vans’ part accuracy is first class!

I also wanted to check how the tank skin fitted along the wing top skin … no adjustment required : )

The tightest spot to watch out for when applying sealant is at the root rib top, where the baffle is very close to the bolt head on the top of the spar. It fits perfectly, but excess sealant in this area could cause problems.

As you can see, the bottom side is not an issue.
